Message Board Post:

Hi John,
Made some great progress today. A Heger/Connolly relative found me on the message boards on this thread and filled me in on the early family origins of the Connolly and Nolan families. She gave me the bare bones and will send me more details by regular mail soon. What was confusing was that they started out in Ireland, went to Scotland, and then found their way to America in 1892. Alot of the Scottish info that you gave me still pertained to them.
In the above posting that you made to me, you mentioned that you found an immigration record for Pat, Bessie, and son, Michael Connolly in 1892 with the right ages, but it listed them as Irish. Plus, you thought Michael was an incorrect name for their child. But I noticed in the 1900 census, the son was named Frank M., and it listed the family as immigrating in 1892. Could you send me the details of that immigration record? They may possibly have immigrated together with Elizabeth's parents, Elizabeth Nolan...and for some reason, I can't find the name of her father. I forgot to copy it down. I'll need to check Amelia's message below to me.
But anyway, for all intents and purposes, the Connolly lineage is pretty much done. They were basically Irish going further back but went to Scotland to live before coming to America. Have a good evening and thanks again for your unlimited patience with me for my endless questions.
Jean
