Looking for one of the following Ensign's from Mass. I believe they are actually the same person, just spelled differently.

My Grandmother Ensign said her Grandfather's given name was Torrensen D. Ensign.

1840 Census, NY, Livingston County, Leicester Township, page 149 shows Torrismon D. Ensign

1850 Census, NY, Ontario County, Canandaigua Township, page 179 shows first name as Thilsman

One census shows place of birth as Mass.

Any help appreciated.
