Hi,
My first scan of the NEHGS records to 1850 in all of MA came up with over
250 options... so I looked for Peter POST instead (hoping they all wound up
in the same town!).

Sure enough, it showed a Captain Peter Post's widow died in Nov. 1832 in
Newburyport, MA.

So, checking again for Thomas COOK in Newburyport came up with 14 options
(below); did Thomas Jr. marry a Sarah COLBY in 1828? Looks like they had
numerous children there!

Maybe someone can access the censuses for you?
We can then look at image details for you if you think this is your family!
