Kathleen,

My G-Grandfather, 4 generations removed, Charles H. Howe, served in the
Third Heavy Artillery, Company F. He enlisted at Braintree on Aug. 23, 1864,
and after discharge resided in Danvers. Would any of your photos be of the
Third H/A Company F?

Dave

Hello Kathleen,

My great-great-grandfather, Eleazer Moses DALTON was in the Mass. Heavy
Artillary Regiment.? He came from Salem, MA and died at the Battle of
Petersburg, VA.? Is there any mention of him in the list of names on your
photos?? I am rather fond of this old gentleman (by way of my research) and
would love to see what he looked like, if possible.? Fingers crossed!? And
thank you!

Dorothy

I found it on line - it was Councilman's posting on Ancestry. I have not
verified this but intend to go to the center to see what I can find. I am
new at

Hello all,
I have gotten many emails asking about if maybe some of the photos are maybe

peoples ancestors. None were so far. The photos are of:

Sgt. John Boody Co. M 1st Mass Vol. Reg. Atty. There are 2 different photos
of
him....John born in New Hampshire died June 16 1864 in Washington DC from
wounds
he received at Spottsylvania Va.
Another is of a Cpl. Frank Warner 1st Mass Vol. Reg. Heavy Atty. from what I

learned he mustered out Aug 16, 1865.
Another is Oliver A Hill. He was a shoema
ker from Lynn Mass he mustered out Nov
14 1865. There is even a Civil War photo of Gen. Winfield Scott. There
were
other photos too not pertaining to the civil war. Some have names other
didn't...
Myra. Parkhurst Lowell, Mass
Hattie L Gates July 10, 1882 8 years old
Edward S. Peters January 8 1867
W. H. Forbes 1861
Last one has a lot on the back:
Elvira Frances Grosvenor - daughter of Jonathan Prescott and Lydia Elivira
Grosvenor - who was born in Lowell Mass February 19th 1848 died November
20th
1867 aged 19 years nine months and one day...

If anybody wants me to email any of the images let me know....

I LOVE these old photos...
Kathleen M Mayo
