It does sound like the same person since he was married in Newton. Perhaps your father's memory is wrong. You could contact the city clerk in Newton and ask them to lookup the marriage record. Use your father's birthday for a time frame to search for the record. The record will tell you where he was born and the names of his parents Department Head David A.
