FYI:

I have an interest in the "Repair Shops" in Billerica, MA, and, when I have
a chance, I will visit the "archives office" for the "Boston & Maine
Railroad Historical Society" in Lowell, MA. I'm told that there might be
"employees' magazines" which might have information I'm looking for.

I don't really have an ancestor or an ancestor's relative who worked for a
railroad. And, I don't have any information railroads that I could
offer. But, I could mention briefly 2 incidents. My LEWIS / CORKILL
great-grandmother had a sister who remained in Truro, Nova Scotia. The
sister's husband was killed in a "trainyard" accident. That was shortly
after their 10th child was born. And, my grandmother who was adopted as
a child by a couple in Melrose, MA, had the DEXTER couple tell her many
"family stories" which turn out to be "family lies." One of them was that
her birth-mother was killed in a train accident while traveling. It
turned out to be a relative of Mrs. DEXTER who died that way.

(My grandmother's story is in the archives of several Lists. The
beginning of the mystery? Why was she given the name Daisy WATROUS at
birth? She was told that she was a "foundling" in Boston, MA, and the
nurses at the hospital gave her that name. Another lie.) (I believe it
was the DEXTER's married daughter in Killington, CT, who had an "unwanted
pregnancy." The DEXTER's -knew- who the birth-parents were and never
told her.)
