The birth records in Mass. show Ellen as born in Ireland. also the 1900 census indicates an immigration date of 1897 corrected to 1898. They are living next to other Conely relatives and also appear to have a possible brother Jeremiah living with them. Often in later records you may find an error in the transcription of ME Maine and MA Mass. especially for Catherine a case of lumping them all together. look for immigration records/ships lists through Boston not NY.
