Ancestry has various records, and these certainly aren't all the records available. I recently was researching a father and son who came to the US in 1908. They were listed on a ship manifest arriving at NY 7 May 1908 - but the actual image had a line drawn through their names. I later found a record of their entry at Boston on 12 May 1908. I might never have known it because the name was indexed incorrectly. However, Ancestry had the son's naturalization papers with a Certificate of Arrival attached issued by the state of MA confirming his arrival on that date. Knowing that, I went back to Boston ship records and located the incorrectly indexed entries.

Ancestry's Immigration Records Collection (requires payment) has ship passenger indexes for New York (1820-1957), Boston (1820-1943), Baltimore (1820-1948), Philadelphia (1800-1945), New Orleans (1820-1945), San Francisco (1893-1953), and many smaller ports, plus some Canadian passenger lists and border crossings, and some US naturalization records.
