Greetings Lister,
Gail Klah has been going through each Town of Beverly page looking for
problems. For the 1866-70 marriages, based on Gail's list of missing
entries below, Sam Sturgis has determined there are over 105 missing
index pages. The largest group of missing index pages (encompassing
90 pages) starts with the surname Rowe going to Sumpter. Sam Sturgis,
database webmaster, will begin getting them ready to add to the
database. It will take a while as this is over 8,000 names.

Gail also found a column shift on surnames for 1856-60 births records
starting with the surname Monahan going to at least Morrisy. This
effects the first entry under each surname. I've fixed up to Morrisy,
but after working through 19 index pages, I don't know how many more
need correcting. If you are checking an entry and the only possible
entry on the page starts with the same letters, but isn't a match, let
me know, so I can check for just this kind of error.

Also, Gail and Burt Stackhouse, who is checking each Boston page, have
found a few entries that were not on the original index but on the
registration pages. For those, Sam Sturgis has added them to the NEHGS
database. The work Gail and Burt are doing will really improve the
database. Great job to both of them.
