Hi John,

Thank you very much for the look-ups and for the good information. I
think this is the first time I've seen that RUMZY surname. And I'm not
finding that spelling in the census records, nor RUMZEY in MA. And, it
is also curious that the 2nd wife of George HUTCHINSON, Amy RUMZEY, had a
mother with the maiden name of Elizabeth CROSBY. George's mother had the

maiden name of Eliza Ann CROSBY of the large CROSBY Farm in Arlington, MA.

I just checked and there is no Board for RUMZY or RUMZEY. So, I placed a
query on the RUMSEY Boards. And, 2 records say that the Benjamin RUMZY
family was of Nova Scotia. I checked the Nova Scotia Board and the
RUMSEY name was mentioned 10 years ago and 6 years ago. But one posting
showed that a Benjamin RUMSEY was one of the "Planters and Pioneers" in the

1700's.

So, I searched on-line for "Benjamin RUMSEY" and found a few sites
mentioning him in the US:

This site mentions that his grandfather had come to the Colonies in 1665
from Wales.

Even though RUMSEY is not a popular name, there seems to have been another
family in CT, and another in NY, which included a Benjamin. OH -- I
just came across this page which mentions a Benjamin RUMSEY in Arlington,
Annapolis Co., Nova Scotia:
