Oh, incredibly! Something is not matching up! Not only that, but none of their children, including my grandmother, who was born 6/21/1926 as Gussie Corso, appear on the 1930 census. My thought is that perhaps if Frank really did pass away in 1930, the family was uprooted and somehow missed in the census process. None of the children, Gussie, Marty, Anna, or Celia appear on that census, and they were all born after 1920, so previous censuses do us no good. Strangely, I found a "Gusie" Corso, a Marty, and an Anna, all children, on a 1910 Chicago census, long before they were born. But, strange, isn't it?
My mother recently found Gussie's death certificate for me. On it, her mother was listed as Anna Carchido. The plot thickens.
