I don't know where she got her information, but I cannot find a record of his birth. The Keith surname in Plymouth County is most common in the Bridgewaters, and that area is my specialty.

Both the 13-Dec-1828 Yarmouth intention [Yarmouth VR 431] and the Dec-1828 Yarmouth marriage record (no day given) [Yarmouth VR 432] call Elbridge Gerry Keith "of Boston." E. G. Keith was likely named for Congressman, Massachusetts Governor and Vice-President to James Madison, Elbridge Gerry, after whom we get the term "gerrymandering."
