Hi Barbara,
I can't help with information after 1920. But, I just wanted to mention that our friends' family tree goes back to John H. Fitzgerald, b1858 IRE, probably arrived 1878, at Age 20. And, he seems to have had his younger brother with him, Michael Fitzgerald, b1865 IRE, who would have been 13. I still don't know whether they came over with their parents' Michael and Julia (Phelan) Fitzgerald. But, this means that the sons of John H. had cousins in the Boston area. I tried to find the brother, Michael, from 1900 to 1920, and I might have found a possible couple. (There are just too many John's and Michael's.)
By the way, when Michael A. Fitzgerald and his wife, Ella (BLAKELY), divorced, both remarried shortly after. I'm told Michael married a possible Hazel (unknown). I found a possible Michael dying in Bourne, MA, 1960's? If he had moved to the Cape, that's possibly why his grandchildren in the 1950's never saw him.
And, I'm told, if there is a connection with the ancestors of Mrs. Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy, it would have been back in the 1700's, or before.
Just an FYI for you.
Betty (near Lowell, MA)
