hello again , thank you for your quick response. I have two NORRIS lines running. They are brothers but as far as I know they were not connected in United States.
My first one was
George henry Norris born 1864 in Liverpool England.He emigrated in 1891 and his wife and daughter Ethel followed on the 12.th Dec.n 1892 She must have gone back to England . On the 30.th October 1984 she sailed from Liverpool and arrived in Phildelphia on the 11.th of November 1804. She again sailed again from Liverpool in Dec 1894 and sailed to Philadelphia, both times accompanied by ETHEL. On the last manifest in Dec 1894 she stated that she was returning to her husband and that they resided at 6 Heroes St. Providence. Both times she sailed on the ship Southwark. On the 1900 census they were in New York and Mary Ellen Norris says that she naturised in 1891 and that they had been married for 9 years.
ETHEL was born 7TH Sept 1887 in Oldham England and we know that she died in Palo Alto Santa Clara California.
George Norris was born 5.th Feb 1896 in Rhode Island, he enlisted into the Army in 1913 but was discharged as he had lied about his age. We know nothing more about him - another puzzle.
ETHEL married an actor called ARTHUR E. CONNOLLY born 1880 in Massachutess died 30.th October 1939 and had three children Joseph E Connolly born 1912 in New York, he died 15.th October 1939, ARTHUR GEORGE CONNOLLY born 1915 in New York died in 1972 - know nothing about him, and then there was ETHEL M. CONNOLLY who was born in 1928 New York. She was the person who registered her mothers death signing still as ETHEL M. CONNOLLY so we presume that she was unmarried.
ARTHUR GEORGE CONNOLLY married a IRENE FRANCES ROCKETT she was born 1.st Feb 1914 and died 28.th Nov. 1998. They had two children.
As you can see I have a lot of filling in to do, unfortunately I don't have as much access to American records as you do in your country.
If you are willing I would love some help with my tree, this is only one brother, the other I will write about if you are willing to assist

My other brother EDWARD also includes yet again another ETHEL NORRIS born ETHEL TETLOW. That's another saga as well.
