Good Morning from a rather cold bright Royton, it is 8.15a.m. our time now.i have decided to go back to Edward Norris now, I appreciate all that you have found on him however I am still looking for his son FREDERICK. i have a copy of the obituary as given in New Bedford Evening Standard July 11th 1926.It says as follows, Edward Norris second hand in No Six card room at the Wamsutta Mills, who died suddenly of heart disease in the mill hospital at one yesterday afternoon was a native of England, but came to this city about 25 years ago and here he had since made his home. For the last 12 years he had been employed in the Wamsutta Mills. He is survived by his widow, Mrs Ethel Norris,Misses Elsie and Edena Norris and Frederick Norris, this city and brothers and sisters in England. He was a member of the parish of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. I don't know anything about this Frederick although it is a family name. My own grandfather , Edwards brother, was called Frederick but!
resided most of the time back here in Royton. he did occasionally visit United States, three time to my knowledge but spent his last years here.
i have searched for Frederick and have been unable to track him down. He was not on the 1910 census and on the 1920 census Ethel is a patient in a hospital, did she have Frederick and then suffer post natal depression, if so where was the rest of the family and how long did she remain as a patient. More question !!!1
Cheers
Christine
