Hello,
You didn't mention whether you have already checked census information for the ELDREDGE family. If Dorothy was born in MA in ~1911, her parents should be mentioned in the 1910 census, and maybe also in the 1900 census.
And, you can check the 1880 census for free to see if the ELDREDGE name was mentioned on Cape Cod at that time.
