Belinda,
There is no marriage index that I know of. The only way to possibly find
her is by writing to the town, in this case the last known address being
Weymouth, guessing at a probable marriage at age 25 or there abouts and see if
they can find one. The other way is to write to the Massachusetts Vitals
with the same info and they will do a ten year search. Fairly expensive
though and if they don't find it they keep your money. Also, if she left the
state your out of luck.
I checked for Henry's birth. Here it is:
November 11, 1893 Quincy, Massachusetts
Issac Henry Rogers [I know you have Irving, but checking the censuses
this seems to be the right one]
57 Main Street
Parents: John M Rogers carpenter and Maggie Molong
Both parents born Nova Scotia
Jane Rogers and her daughter made a trip back to England in 1922. Jane's
age is 30 and Pauline's birth is given as December 16, 1919 in Boston.
I, too, found Jane's birth in 1878 and the 1917 marriage. [She seems to
have aged SLOWLY].
There is a SSDI record for a Henry Rogers, birth 10 November 1893. Died in
Texas but no way of knowing if it is him short of writing to the SS for his
original application. If you want the Mass Vitals address, let me know.
Hope this helps,.
Paula

Can anyone advise me how to find out more about Pauline ROGERS, born 1920
,
the daughter of Henry Irving ROGERS, born about 1893 in Massachusetts, and
Jane Seymour ROGERS (nee BOLT), born in Devon, England. Jane was one of my
father's aunts and my research shows her as born in 1878 . Henry came over
to England in World War 1 , in the 15th Field Co. Canadian Engineers and
he
married Jane in 1917, when she gave her age as 28!

Jane emigrated to Massachusetts in 1919 and she, Henry and their one month
old daughter Pauline appear on the 1920 Census at 15, King Cove Road,
Weymouth ., Norfolk County. I can't find Jane and Henry in the 1930 census
but Pauline, age 10, is staying with her Aunt and Uncle, Stanton A Newcomb
( a soldier in the US army) Carrie E Newcomb and their children , plus
Pauline's grandmother Margaret Rogers, at Fort Banks, Winthorp Town,
Suffolk
County. Henry and Jane wouldn't have been very old so should be still
alive
then - I have tried looking for a death record but am not sure I've looked
in the right place - also Henry Rogers seems to be quite a popular name.
Is
there a marriage index where I could look for a marriage for Pauline and
perhaps find some descendants?

Any advice will be much appreciated.

Thank you,

Belinda (in Bristol, UK)
