Unfortunately the Journal is not among the 19th-century papers to which I have access, However, if you do not get a response email me through the address at the bottom of the web page given in my signature, and I can tell you what libraries closest to you are shown as holding Journal copies for that year (do not use Ancestry's private messaging service because I am not a subscriber). I will need to know where your are so that I can check the listings for your area. Bear in mind that there were four editions of the Journal in print in 1897 - morning, evening, Sunday and weekly, so it would also be helpful to know which edition you are interested in.
