They were. John and Priscilla (Carpenter) (Wright) Cooper had no
children of which there is any record. "The Great Migration:
Immigrants to New England 1634-1635" 2:200-202 shows John Cooper
(whose sister Lydia married Ephraim Morton's brother Nathaniel in
1635), who lived in Scituate and Barnstable, was married to Priscilla
(Carpenter) Wright (widow of William), and had no children. Perhaps
Ann was another sibling of Lydia and John, but I suspect not, as GM
would have mentioned her if that were known (John Cooper's 1676 will
mentioned only wife Priscilla and his "sisters" Lydia Morton
(Nathaniel's wife and John's blood sister) and Alice Bradford
(perhaps Alice (Richards) Bradford, wife of William Jr.?) but no
other siblings and no children, and Ann (Cooper) Morton did not die
until 1691). I will see what I can find - I need to have a closer
look at Ann in any case as she is one of my ancestors.
