Phyllis DeGregorio
Member of Many Winthrop Organizations
Phyllis DeGregorio of Sewall Avenue, Winthrop died after a brief illness in West Palm Beach, Florida on February 10. She was 85 years old.
Born in Winthrop, she was the beloved daughter of the late Marjorie (Joy) and Harold Belcher. A life long resident of Winthrop, she worked for many years as a clerk for DeGregorio Insurance in Winthrop. She was the past president of the Rainbow Club and a member of the Cottage Park Yacht Club Ladies Bowling League and the Winthrop Mother's Club.
She was the devoted wife of Robert DeGregorio and the loving mother of Robert "Barney" DeGregorio and his wife, Michele, Paul DeGregorio and his wife, Marlene, Mark DeGregorio and his wife, Nancy and Tina Donahue and her husband, Sean, all of Winthrop; the dear sister of Marjorie Barry of Norwell and the late Frank Belcher, Alice Bernier, Harold Belcher, Richard Belcher, Ruth Larsen and Ada Beddoews. She is also survived by nine grandchildren.
Her Funeral will be held from the Ernest P. Caggiano and Son-O'Maley Funeral Home, 147 Winthrop St., Winthrop on Friday, February 17 at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John the Evangelist Church, Winthrop at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation today, Thursday, February 16 from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will follow the Mass in Winthrop Cemetery.
