Deceased Name: HESTER P. VERYARD , 75
LEOMINSTER - Hester P. (Walker) Veryard, 75, formerly of Leominster, died yesterday in Mystic Nursing Home, 360 Electric Ave., Fitchburg.
Her husband, James G. Veryard, died in 1987.
She leaves two daughters, Beverly A. Nurmi of Fitchburg and Jill L. Chancellor of Leominster; a brother, Evans Walker of Sun City, Ariz.; a sister, Doris Ringer of Monrovia, Calif.; a granddaughter; nephews and nieces.
She was born in Fryeburg, Maine, daughter of Frank H. and Adeline (Johnson) Walker, and lived here many years before moving to Fitchburg in 1984.
She was a stitcher for 21 years at the former Cluett-Peabody Co., retiring about 1977.
Mrs. Veryard was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Wachusett Grange.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow in United Methodist Church, 77 Hall St. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Calling hours at Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West St., are 7 to 9 tonight.
The family requests that flowers be omitted. Memorial contributions may be made instead to the Building Fund of United Methodist Church, 77 Hall St., Leominster, 01453.
