In 1920, the census has a town or city written as his place of birth. It is crossed out and Canada was written in it's place. (Census takers were supposed to record state or country.) I can't quite make it out, but it is something like Karnoweska. Line 16 on the attched file. Perhaps it is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kamouraska,_Quebec?? The Canada English would make me think Ontario, but... It is not very far from St Phillipe de Neri. Could that be the St Philip listed on Georgianne's marriage record?
Interestingly, on the Censuses of 1920 and 1930, he declared Canada as birth location, but for the WWI and WWII drafts, he listed native born (Boston for WWII). His date of birth is listed as Nov 3, 1884.
