Hello,
I was curious about "Rochdale, USA" so I just looked it up. It turns out it is a village within the Town of Leicester in Worcester County.

Also, you have not given us very much information to help you with. So, I'd like to ask if you have checked the 1930 and now the 1940 census to see if your grandparents are in Leicester, MA, those years. There is a lot more information at www.familysearch.org this year.
And have you posted a query on the Worcester Co. Board and then the GAVIN Board and List?
I just checked the census pages at HeritageQuest through my library, and find this John GAVIN:
GAVIN, JOHN (1920 U.S. Census)
MASSACHUSETTS , WORCESTER, LANCASTER
Age: 53, Male, Race: WHITE, Born: IREL
Series: T625 Roll: 746 Page: 216
There were 10 GAVIN's in Worcester County in 1920, but no Agnes or Isabelle.
I took a quick look at www.familysearch.org and was reminded that you should also tell us whether John GAVIN was born in Ireland, or was from a Massachusetts family.
I did a quick check for Agnes SCULLION and is there any chance she was a Mary Agnes (SCULLION) GAVIN ?
Betty (near Lowell, MA)
