My father was John Stuart Jeffery born 1907 and came to New Zealand in 1926. His Father was John, born 1860, died 1910. His Parents were James and Eliza and his first Wife, Sarah Ann Knight. She died in 1902 and he married Edith Sibylla Prater who latter married a Thomas Tanton.

John had brothers and sisters as,(from 1871 census)
Mary Ann b1858
Elizabeth b1862
George b1864
Lucy b1865
James b1867
Fanny b1870

James was married to Charlotte (surname eludes me) and they had two children, William John, who was killed in the first war, and Annie Mabel. My Dad was bought up by "Antie Mabel".
Mabel married an Ivor Coombe and had a family, but I know very little about them.
However the rest of Johns family I have difficulty with. Girls have a habit of changing names when they marry and I have lost them all. I think I can bring George into the early 1900's.
I am looking to find the decendants of Johns brothers and sisters to the present day, before trying to go further back. Who is around today that comes from this family? Does any one know where they went?
