I've "rescued" an old photograph of Bertie BOWMAN which was taken at the S.
S. Vose & Son Studio in Skowhegan, Maine. The photograph appears to have
been taken in the 1890's with Bertie appearing to be in his teens or 20's at
the time. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following
information regarding Bertie and his family:

Bert Lee BOWMAN b. 20 Jul 1872 in Sidney, ME to parents Alfred BOWMAN and
Sadie Elizabeth MORRILL. Bert married Sadie Etta JUDKINS (b. 15 Jul 1876 in
Cornville, ME) on 5 Feb 1895 in Skowhegan, ME and together they had at least
one son Donald Judkins BOWMAN b. 18 Jun 1902 in Haverhill, MA. Bert died in
Cornville, ME on 3 Oct 1948.

Census records provide the following information:

1880 census of Sidney, ME:

Alfred BOWMAN, age 46, a Farmer, born ME, parents born ME
Sarah E. BOWMAN, wife, age 36, Keeps House, born ME, parents born ME
Minnie S. BOWMAN, dau, age 13, at Home, born ME
Bertie L. BOWMAN, son, age 6, born ME

1910 census of Cornville, ME:

Bert L. BOWMAN, age 36, married 15 years, born ME, parents born ME, a Farmer
Sadie E. BOWMAN, wife, age 33, married 15 years, 2 children/2 living, born
ME, parents born ME
Mildred S. BOWMAN, dau, age 9, born MA
Donald J. BOWMAN, son, age 7, born ME
Sarah E. BOWMAN, Mother, age 65, a widow, 2 children/2 living, born ME,
parents born ME/USA, a Dressmaker

1920 census of Cornville, ME:

Bert L. BOWMAN, age 46, born ME, parents born ME, a Farmer
Sadie E. BOWMAN, wife, age 43, born ME, parents born ME
Donald J. BOWMAN, son, age 18, born ME, a Lumber Woods Laborer
Mar M. BOWMAN, dau-in-law, age 17, born ME, parents born England
Alfred BOWMAN, son, age 7, born ME
Sarah BOWMAN, Mother, age 76, a widow, born ME, parents born ME, a
Dressmaker

I am hoping to locate someone from this BOWMAN Family so that the photograph
can be returned to the care of Bert's family. If you are a member of this
family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me.
