STACY MILLER HOLBROOK, 26, Richmond, formerly of Corbin, passed away Easter
Sunday, March 31, 2002 at the Pattie A. Clay Hospital in Richmond
She was a 1994 graduate of Corbin High School and member of Immanuel Baptist
Church.
Survivors include her two children, four-year-old Dustin Andrew and
18-month-old Logan Randal; a stepson, Christopher Holbrook, age 15; her
parents, Marvin and Sharon Miller of Corbin; two sisters, Amy Simpson and
husband, Kelly Simpson, of Corbin and Stephanie Miller of Richmond; one
niece, two-year-old Sydney Simpson of Corbin; her grandparents, Lonnie
Miller, Barbara Carroll and Harold Carroll, all of Corbin; numerous aunts,
uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 5 at the Immanuel Baptist Church
with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton and Rev. Jim Leftwich officiating. Interment was in
the Worley Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a trust fund for Stacy's children, Dustin and Logan, has
been established at Union Planters Bank in Corbin.

EDITH OLENE CAMPBELL, 73, Kersey Road, Williamsburg, passed away Tuesday,
April 2, 2002 at the Jellico Community Hospital, Jellico, Tennessee.
Survivors include her husband, Mason Campbell of Williamsburg; one daughter,
Jana Tindle of Williamsburg; two sons, Bruce Swanner of Williamsburg and
Tommy Swanner of Chatsworth, Georgia; 12 grandchildren, five
great-grandchildren and five step-children; two brothers, Bradley Williams of
Williamsburg and Ralph Williams of Ohio; and three sisters, Doris Williams,
Joyce Watson and Louise Deaton, all of Indiana.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 6 at the Ellison Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Bill Mitchell officiating. Burial followed in the Highland
Park Cemetery, Davis Addition.

DELLA MINK, 85, Springtown Road, Rockholds, passed away Saturday morning,
April 6, 2002 at the Baptist Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of the Meadow Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Dallas Mink and wife, Bonnie of Williamsburg; one
daughter, Joy Johnson and husband, Roger of Cincinnati, Ohio; two
grandchildren, Todd Mink and wife, Misty of Morristown, Tennessee and Melissa
Mink of Williamsburg; two brothers, Clyde Terrell and wife, Georgia of
Rockholds and Rondal (Buster) Terrell and wife, Lynda of Byrdstown,
Tennessee; one sister, Opal Pfoff of Corbin; two sisters-in-law, Wilma
Terrell of Meadow Creek Community and Dora Terrell of Madison Heights,
Michigan; several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends
to mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Mink and son, Darrell Mink.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 8 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel
with Rev. Herbert Wells officiating. Interment was in the Terrell and Murray
Cemetery.

NADINE ANDERSON MOORE, 55, Williamsburg, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2002
in Williamsburg.
Survivors include three daughters, Glenda Renee Moore of Covington, Rosa
Jannie Parker and husband, Allen of Rockholds and Mary Lynn Holt and husband,
Thurman of Williamsburg; one son, Robert Samuel Moore and wife, Rebecca of
Williamsburg; eight grandchildren; five sisters, Myrtle Foust and husband,
Ralph of Dayton, Ohio, Mae Hickman and husband, Carl of Corbin, Wilma
Huddleston and husband, Wilbur of Williamsburg, Betty Douglas and husband,
Dave of Pine Knot and Brenda Douglas and husband, Donnie of Pine Knot; and
one brother, Terry Anderson of Williamsburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Nora Hill Anderson.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 6 at the Jones & Son Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. David Caddell and Rev. Wilbur Huddleston officiating. Burial
followed in the Maple Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Samson Anderson, David Garner, Eddie Hickman, Tim Hickman,
Jerry Noe, Allen Parker and Ralph Richardson.

MYRTLE FOLEY 97, Highway 904, Williamsburg, passed away Wednesday morning,
April 3, 2002 at the Williamsburg Nursing Home.
Survivors include one grandson, Dallas Sawyers and wife, Gail of Highway 904,
Williamsburg; one great-granddaughter, Brittany Sawyers of Highway 904,
Williamsburg; a special friend, Christine Faulkner of Highway 904,
Williamsburg; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pascal Foley; and son, Benjamin C.
Sawyers.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 5 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel
with Rev. Jerome McCullah and Rev. Billy Carpenter. Interment was in the
Croley Addition of Highland Park Cemetery.

MARY JANE LAWSON MAYS, 91, Barbourville, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2002
at the Knox County Hospital.
She was a member of the Locust Grove Baptist Church at Goldens Creek.
Survivors include five daughters, Jewell Fugate of Lancaster, Alma Jean
Centers of Williamsburg, Zona Carpenter of Williamsburg, Shirley McKiddy and
husband, Lawrence of Girdler and Mildred Slavey and husband, Jim of
Barbourville; three sons, Carl Mays and wife, Janice of Poplar Creek, Johnny
Mays and wife, Sherry of Hartford and Paul Mays and wife, Shelia of Poplar
Creek; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and
great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and a host of other
relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 9 at the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel
with her grandson, Rev. Billy Carpenter officiating. Burial was in the Wilson
Cemetery at Goldens Creek.

DESSIE SMITH, 89, Faber, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2002 at Christian
Health Center.
She was a member of Faber Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters and two step-daughters, Mabel Miles of
Lexington, Patsy Burnett and husband, Joe of Williamsburg, June Underwood of
Williamsburg and Geneva Culvyhouse of Palm Bay, Florida; one son and two
step-sons, Charles Smith and wife, Helen of Corbin, Calvin Smith and wife,
Jackie of Brookville, Ohio and Melvin Smith and wife, Nowano of Corbin; 10
grandchildren, 17 step-grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several
great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, B.C. Smith.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 6 at the Jones & Son Funeral Home
Chapel with Vaughn Hatcher, Jim Murray, and Larry Smith officiating. Burial
was in the Smith Cemetery at Faber.
Pallbearers were Chadd Cole, Dennis Large, Gary Large, Clifton Miles, John
Miles, Allen Moore, Charles Smith, Jr. and David Smith.

ANNETTE MONHOLLEN, 54, formerly of Siler, passed away Monday, April 1, 2002
at her residence in Sevierville, Tennessee. She was the wife of Roger
Monhollen.
Funeral services were held April 4 at the Atchley's Smokey Mountain Funeral
Chapel with Rev. George Peace and Rev. Danny Sutton officiating. Interment

DENISE RENEE BURKHART, 32, Corbin, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2002 at her
home. She was the daughter of Margie Douglas of Corbin.
Funeral services were held April 9 at the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel with
Bro. Frank Epperson officiating. Burial was in the Garrison-Martin Cemetery
by O'Neil Funeral Home.

DOROTHY PAYNE CORNETT, 82, Richmond, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2002 at her
home. Among her survivors are two children.
Graveside service was held April 9 at the Pine Hill Cemetery. Burial followed
by the Combs, Parsons and Collins Funeral Home.

EVERETT MARTIN, 72, Gray, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2002 at the Central
Baptist Hospital. His wife, Fredia Thomas Martin of Gray, survives.
Funeral services will be held April 10 at 2:00 p.m. at the Living Waters
Pentecostal Church with Rev. Charlie Humfleet, Rev. R.P. Edwards and Rev.
Heath Sherman officiating. Burial will follow in the Cumberland Memorial
Gardens by Hart Funeral Home.

SALLIE MAE TRAMMELL RICHMOND, 88, of LaFollette, Tennessee, passed away
Friday, April 5, 2002 at Claiborne County Nursing Home. She was the widow of
the late Dr. George Marion Richmond.
Funeral services were held April 6 at the Cox & Son Funeral Home Chapel with
Rev. Willie Partin officiating. Interment was in the Huddleston Cemetery by
Cox & Son Funeral Home.

MARIE CADDELL OWENS, 92, Revelo, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2002 in the
Scott County Hospital, Oneida, Tennessee. She was the sister of Edith Shelley
of Williamsburg.
Graveside service was held April 10 at the Bethel Cemetery with Rev. Doyle

EUNICE MARIE CAMPBELL, 88, Corbin, passed away Monday, April 8, 2002 in the
Baptist Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Sam C. Campbell.
Graveside service was held April 10 at the Corinth Cemetery with Rev. Bobby
Joe Eaton officiating. O'Neil Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Edith Collett, 81, Keavy, passed away Monday, April 1, 2002 at the Baptist
Regional Medical Center. Her husband, Frank Collett, survives.
Funeral services were held April 4 at the O'Neil Funeral Home with Rev.
Junior Bowling officiating. Burial was in the Collett Family Cemetery in
Keavy by O'Neil Funeral Home.

MARY ELLIOTT PARKER, 74, Jefferson Town, passed away Friday, April 5, 2002 at
the Norton Suburban Hospital. Among her survivors are two sons.
Funeral services were held April 8 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home Chapel
with Rev. Dennis Engle officiating. Burial was in the Gray Cemetery by
Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.

LEONA RUGGLES SHIELDS, 87, formerly of Williamsburg, passed away Friday,
March 29, 2002 at her home in Alachua, Florida. She was the wife of the late
Paul R. Shields, Jr.
Graveside services were held April 5 at the Highland Cemetery and interment
followed by Croley Funeral Home.
