Jan Eves: I saw your question about Joe La Chapelle of Hubbard, Oregon. My
grandfather (I'm 80) was a Joe La Chapelle, born near Montreal, Canada who
had a father named Joseph Langlois dit La Chapelle, and who came to Minnesota
in the 1880s with his family. The family settled first in Rock Creek (south
of Duluth) and later in Littlefork near International Falls, where they ran a
hotel (circa. 1913). Joe died at Soap Lake, Washington. Would these people
be related to you? - Ted La Chapelle ()
