I never actually met any of the San Francisco Lampes. They were of German ancestry, and related to my great grandfather, Robert (Haverstock) King. His name Haverstock was changed somewhere along the line, in England, to King. There is a Haverstock Hill in London, but I don't know the connection. Robert Lampe of Santa Cruz was related to the San Francisco group, and he was my great grandfather's cousin and he was from Nova Scotia.
