I've Started a Focus Forum for Carter's Of Louisiana, namely, Natchitoches Parish. I sent an email out last week in reference to these families and decided to go ahead and start a forum also.

The forum for Carters of Louisiana is in the Areas of Natchitoches Parish, Rapides Parish, Vernon Parish or if you are looking for family members of Carter decent, in Natchitoches, Kisatchie, Bellwood, Boyce, and surrounding towns, Or have a connection to or information on Newton Adna Carter, Belle Rhodes, Nancy Victoria Dowden, Willis Stephen Dowden, Emerson or Ellison Carter, Adna Carter, Euna Mae Funderburk married to Martin ? Carter, Come on over. Also Montgomery, Smith, Johnson, and Montrose LA. Ellison and Emerson look to have close to 10 siblings from father Adnah Carter.
I believe with a focused area for these families, many lost connections and or incorrect or mis-posted family histories can be updated. as well as, decendancies you are missing updated.
