Is Lantrip and Lanthrop interchangable?

Does anyone have any information about this fmaily?

Alexander Lanthrop will recorded in Prince George County VA.
18 March 1785. His wife is given as Rebecca and children as
Ledbetter, Jesse, Mary and Sarah.

There is a Ledbetter Lanthrop who married Lucretia Livesay
in Cumberland Parish 21 Dec 1789. I think that is in
Prince George co.

Appreciate any info.
