I borrowed Les Payes des Fleurs Orange through ILL and found something
that astounded me, hopefully someone on here can shed some light.

First, they have my ancestor's name wrong, people evidently thought he
was Nick Gatlin but he was Nicholas Thomas Gathleny (see info on my page
http://community.webtv.net/mpetzolt/genealogy choose paternal Irish) I
do need to get the author to correct that in his next update.

Anyway... he is mentioned twice in the index, once as husband of
Albertine Morgan.... and a new bit of info.

pp 331-332 - Eugene DURABBE was born in 1866. He was the son of Eugene
DURRABBE
and Josephine SCOTT. Eugene married Anastasia BURAS. Anastasie (sic) was
born about 1870, the daughter of Theodule Buras and Marie Pauline Buras.
Eugene remarried Lisa Amelia Bras on 19 May 1898. Lisa was the daughter
of Michel Hypolite Burras and Marie Rosalie Buras. Lisa had a daughter
for Nick GATLIN who was adopted by Eugene. Eugene and Anastasie had one
known child, Eugene Durrabe 1885. Eugene and Lisa : Rina Elizabeth
Jacqueline Durabbe 4 Oct 1892

Questions: anyone know or know how I can find out details on this birth
adoption? The child Rina must be Nicholas' as the birth date is before
the marriage of Lisa and Eugene.

Can anyone shed light on this, what happened to the Durrabe's and this
child?
