I'd like to toss this out again and see if it's familiar to anyone:

Stella Woods married a J.G. Latta in Durham, N.C. We estimate the marriage
to have been around 1913-1918. She (and her baby) died in childbirth in
June 1919.

Does anyone have information on J.G. Latta? Who were his parents? What
happened to him after Stella's death?

Speculation #1 Was J.G. actually Joseph Giles Latta?
Speculation #2 There is a possibility that this Latta was somehow related
to the Mangums and Scarboroughs of Durham and Orange Cos.
