Paul,

I am only looking for one Latta Family. According to the children of Verna
Latta Baker, William Latta and his family were from the Greensburg area.
According to notes taken from the family bible William Latta died and is
buried in Petersburg and Minnie, his wife died and is buried in Tyrone. I have
not been able to find any records to verify any of this. It is highly possible
that this info could be incorrect, but it is all that I have to go on at the
moment. Do you happen to have a William Latta in your line from the
Greensburg, PA area? My grandfather told me that very little was known on his
mothers (Verna Latta) family because she was Italian and his father was
German. He said that this fact was never allowed to be acknowledged during
his childhood. His mother was not even allowed to prepare any Italian dishes.
She had to learn how to cook German foods.

Any help that you may give would be appreciated.
