snail mail. I thought I would post, just in case there is a connection and
someone needs to prove their Indian Heritage.

I'll start with George Washington Latta.

Sir:  I HEREBY Make application for such share as may be due me of the fund
appropriated by the Act of Congress approved June 30, 1906, in accordance
with the decrees of the Court of Claims of May 18, 1905, and May 28, 1906, in
favor of the Eastern Cherokees.  The evidence of identity is herewith
subjoined.

Note:  Answers to all questions should be short, but complete.  If you can
not answer, so state.

This one is on Felix Latta and appears to be Birth Affidavit of a child born
out of wedlock.   

The next document is ??? something under oath.

CHEROKEES BY BLOOD AND ADOPTION

This document seems to be confirming the birth of children to Felix Latta,
and that his wife Elizabeth Latta and, Felix and his children are of Indian
blood.
Looks like Felix and Cynthia Green had two children.  Mary born in 1894 and
Felix born 1896.  

Again, if anyone is interested, please send me your name and address and I'll
copy and send snail mail.

blood of the Cherokee Nation and that I am not the lawful wife of Felix Latta
who is a citizen by blood of the Cherokee nation, that a male child was born
to me on 18 December 1896, that said child has been named Felix Latta and is
now living.

I,Felix Latta, on oath state that I am NOT the husband of Cynthia Peters and
was present on the 18th day of December, 1896, that there was born to her on
said date a male child; that said child is now living and is said to have
been named Felix Latta. I further state that the midwife then present is now
dead.   Signed Felix Latta.
