Mary Maria Keith was the daughter of Spedia Porter and Alexander Keith.
She married Nathanial Crawford Sellers and had 2 children, Charles Nathen
Sellers and and Laura Della Sellers. In 1893 or 1894, she learned that
someone was going to St. Joseph Missouri in a covered wagon. She arranged to
hitch a ride for herself and her children. From St. Joe she took a train to
Cass Co. Iowa. Mary Keith worked as a postmistress there. She married Frank
Lauver in 1896 and had 2 more children Clarence and Roy Franklin. Frank and
Mary separated around 1914. Mary died in Montgomery Co. Ia on Nov 30, 1930.
She is buried in Reno cemetary Cass Co. Ia.
