W. L. Mayes, Native Of Winn, Dies Sun. In Columbia

W. L. Mayes, 94, a native of Winn, who moved to Caldwell Parish in 1908, died
at his home in Columbia, Sunday. Funeral services were held Monday at Welcome
Home Cemetery in Grayson with Rev. Mouser and Dr. Wren Causey officiating.

He is survived by one brother, W. S. Mayes, Sikes; five sons, D. H. Mayes,
Grayson, L. A. Mayes, Columbia, G. C. Mayes, Sikes, and W. H. Mayes and H. L.
Mayes of West Monroe; 24 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, and three
great-great grandchildren.

(Possibly this obituary should be dated 1956, instead of 1950, not sure.)
