Motorcyclist Dies From Injuries
A 26 year old Winnfield motorcyclist died in an Alexandria hospital Saturday
from injuries sustained in a head-on collision the night before.
Glen David Price, of Rt. 3, Winnfield, suffered head injuries when he was
thrown approximately 89 feet after his motorcycle had been struck by a 1977
Cadillac. He was transferred to Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria where he later
died.
The drive of the Cadillac, Martha H. Turner of 821 Henderson, has been charged
with negligent homicide and failure to yield by Winnfield City Police
officers. She was arrested at 12:22 p.m. Sunday. It was also reported there
was no liability coverage on the Turner vehicle.
The Saturday accident occurred at 11 p.m. at the intersection of Moss and
South Jones St. near Tri-State Mill Supply. Price was not wearing a helmet
officials reported.
According to reports, Price was headed south on South Jones St. when his
Harley Davidson motorcycle was struck by the front of the Turner vehicle. The
Turner automobile was attempting to enter South Jones St. in a northerly turn
from Moss St.
Investigating officers for the City were Patrolman Dorman Guilliams and Sgt.

which a motorcyclist has been killed.
