James K. Harrison Buried Tuesday In Zion Cemetery
James Knox Harrison, 86, was buried Tuesday at Mt. Zion Cemetery following his
death on December 31. He had lived in Winn Parish since 1927.
He was at one time a member of the Masonic Lodge, and made a public profession
of faith in the Baptist Church several years ago. Funeral services were
conducted by Rev. C. R. McCartney in the Zion Baptist Church, assisted by Re.
M. M. Melder.
Survivors are one son, J. O. Harrison of Georgetown; one brother, John A.
Harrison, of Winnfield; and one sister, Mrs. Burnett of Winnfield; five
grandchildren and a host of nephews and nieces.
Burial was under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Winnfield.
