Looking for John Layton – Leaton Sr. born about 1730, or 32 near London, England (No know town, or village). John married Jane Pearce, or Pierce about 1762 in St. Mary's Co. MD. where they lived from 1762-1790. They migrated to Nelson Co. Kentucky first in 1807, then to Perry Co. Missouri. John died in 1812, or 13 and Jane in 1820. Jane's' Father, Dr. John Pierce & Anne Williams married 1737 probably in England, but lived in St. Mary's Co. MD. Also. John Layton signed his name Leaton in Maryland and Kentucky. I would like to establish a link for John with his parents back in England. Please contact me at with any information,
