Hi Anne

Noticed you had O'Connor just thought I would drop you a line re O'connor its a shot in the dark.

I am looking for an Edward Ford O'Connor born c1833 Limerick Ireland. Would have been C of I and joined the Old Irish Society and become a missionery. 1858 found him married to Isabella Cochrane, born Glasgow, living in England, working as a city missionery. He has two children. I have birth certs for most of his children, his death cert and Isabellas, but am unable to find a marriage cert. I know he moved around England before settleing in Chelsea as a city missionery.

Any help would be gratefully received. thank you

Pat

Subject: [LIMERICK] Cappamore and Doon

Happy New Year Limerick Listers.

I have a whole slew of ancestors and cousins who came from Cappamore and
Doon right on the Tipperary border. If you recognize any of them, sing out:

James Kennedy who married Margaret (Peggy) Carney, both died before Jan
1855 in Cappamore. Children: Mary (marr. Beckett) , Daniel (marr. Magt
Hourigan) and James (marr. Ann Hourigan) emigrated to NSW Australia, Margaret
emigrated to Minnesota, USA (marr Tim Maher).

Bryan O'Brien married Bridget Merrigan (or Morgan), lived in Cloonteen.
Their daughter Margaret married Luke Rowles and emigrated, settled in Waupun,
Wisconsin.

George Rowles and Sarah Griffith lived in Cloonteen, emigrated to America
(NewYork, Wisconsin. 1850. Also their children Luke (WI), Margaret (marr
Thomas Carey, 2nd marr John Benton) Mary marr John Benton, 2nd marr Elliot
Glendenning) George (marr Nancy Maher), John (marr. Eliza Benton of Doon)
settled in Goodhue Co., Minnesota.

Michael Rowles and Bridget Ryan of Cloonteen. (His parents: Michael
Rowlesand Alice Boland, hers William Ryan and Mary Tierney). They emigrated to
Australia (Woolongong, NSW) in 1864 with children William, Edward, John,
Mary, Alice, Bridget and Patrick.

Betty Bourke Benton (widow of Thomas) of Doon emigrated to America with
son Walter and 5 daughters, Margaret, Mary (Franklin) , Eliza (Rowles) and
(Ho)Nora (O'Reilly) who all settled in Goodhue Co. Minnesota.

That's a start. I have lots more: O'Connor, Carey, Ryan (of course),
more...

If any of these ring a bell, please respond.
