My Great Great Grandfather was Francis Gore Livingston, a Civil War soldier from the Savanah area in NW Missouri. I was told he was part or full Cherokee and farmer and that his original family came from New York - but have no information about the southern and western migration of the Livingstons. I do know about the connection with colonial America and the prominence of the Livingston family.
I named my son Robert Livingston Nagle. Nagle is not my consanguinious name.
Posing an inquiry to you and other Livingston family members and wondering if you have any Livingston lore about off-shoots that ended up in cherokee territory and then out to Missouri about the time of the Trail of Tears.

Cheryl, I got copied on this email. I am a decendent of Livingstons too,
wonder if it's the same branch. I have traced it back to Phillip
Livingston, who came from Scotland, and whos son (also Philip) signed the
Declaration of Independence. He also had a son named Robert (Col.), which
is where my family came from. Are you related to these people? If so, I've
a ton of info them.

Please respond to
I was unable to find your attahed chart, could you email it to me? Our
branch of Livingstons originally came from Scotland via the Netherlans to
New York in the person of Robert Livingston (father Rev John, mother Janet
flleming), is this the same line you are working on?
Thank you for your help,
Cheryl Livingston Markson
