I'm directly related to the Knights of Gates County, NC and Nansemond County, VA.

My great grandfather was James "Ed"ward Knight born in 1867 in Gatesville, NC. He married in 1891 in Gates, Nettie M. Taylor at the home of her parents, John and Susan Taylor. His second marriage was to a Howell lady. Ed's parents were John "Jack" Edward Knight who married Sarah ____.

I would appreciate sharing ANY info on the Knights, Taylors, Bakers, Clarks, or Matthews of Gates/Eure! I have been searching for the burial place of Nettie M. Taylor Knight to no avail! She died October 7, 1896 while living in Nansemond County, VA...which was just over the state line.
