I've started listing some Gates County Index and Virginian-Pilot obituaries.
Although they are very recent obits, they do have a lot of information on
folks who have died that are well into their 80's or 90's such as their
children, siblings and parent names. All of them from the Index are either
Gates County natives or relatives of those who live in Gates county now. The
listings from the Virginian-Pilot, a Tidewater/Hampton Rhodes, Virginia
newspaper, are those for North Carolina listings in general and not
necessarily just Gates County related. I won't be breaking my neck listing
any from the Pilot, but will try and get as many in from the Index as
possible and as time permits.
