and died 05 Jul 1929 in Greensboro, Guilford County, North Carolina. He
married MARY ELMA WOOD,3 07 Sep 1876 in Guilford County, North Carolina,
daughter of J. WOOD and LORENO MCMALLOM. She was born 05 Dec 1853 in
Randolph County, North Carolina, and died 20 Jun 1920 in Greensboro,
Guilford County, North Carolina.

We are looking for information on thirty-six men from Moore and Chatham
counties who were conscripted into the CSA Marines in October 1864.

Names of men known to be from Moore are: Ed Waddill from Prosperity, E.
Watson, E. Garner, James C. Davis, M. A. McDonald, William Cannady, William
Kennedy, T. Siler, J. S. Mashburn, W. K. Dawkins, William Clap, Sam
Morrison. N. Leach, William McLeod, and Alexander Hamilton Cameron.

Names of men from Moore or Chatham (county unknown) are ? Brady, ? Ball, ?
Rodgers, George Bowen, Henry Bowen, S. H. Kerney, Jeff Davis, John Womble of
Pittsboro, Samuel Womble of Pittsboro, ? Rowe, and ? Boggs.

To date only Wm. McLeod and A.H. Cameron have been identified. We would
like to share data on this group.
