I am descended from Wright W. Bonds who married Priscilla Eley in Nash County. Have been told Wright's parents were John Bonds Sr. and Lucretia Nicholson, and that John Bonds Sr. was a member of the N. Carolina House of Commons as was Lucretia's father, Edward Nicholson. Could we be talking about the same John Bonds? Have also been told John got into some trouble because he was defrauding soldiers of their military pay or pensions or something like that.
