Just starting research! My grandfather (Clyde William Grimes) was born in Franklinville, NC--near Thomasville and Asheboro--son of William Allison Grimes. I haven't found anything yet as to possible siblings of W.A. Grimes--he was born in 1861 in Davidson Co. and died in 1940 in High Point, NC. The proximity might imply a connection.
