To Retha Mitchell--according to my uncle's Adams family research, John Adams, Sr. had no will. He probably didn't need one because of the laws of the time. I forget what the law was called, but at John Adams death everything went to his wife and first son. The rest of the children, and there were 4 left, got nothing, when their mother died. Is there any chance we could exchange info? I'm looking for the father and grandfather of the same John Adams, Sr., born abt. 1720-1964/69. I want his ancestors traced back to England. Know anything about that? Are you researching in the Rowan Public Library there in Salisbury? I have seen the will for John Adams, Jr., who married Winnifred Bussell, if you are interested. Its in my computer on an email from another person I found on these message boards. Let me know if you have other info on John Adams, Sr. Sylvia Heiney,
