Joseph Whaley Sr., b & d. dates unknown, 1st. spouse unknown; 2nd spouse Lidia Justice, m. 5 Dec. 1785 Rowan Co. NC, Hance Justice bondsman; W. Cupples, wit. Rowan Co. NC.
On tax role 1768 Rowan Co.
1790 Census Iredell Co. NC: Whealey, Joseph Sr., Free white males 16 & up (1), under 16 (1), females in household (10), Page 393 Line 29.

Seeking from whence Joseph Sr.came before Rowan/Iredell Co., also name of 1st spouse, as well as anything else .

Seems to be some similarities in Joseph Whaley family from Kent/Queen Anne's Co. MD, a Joseph Whaley Sr. and his family was mentioned in will of Esther Comegys 1759 Queen Anne Co. MD - referred to Joseph Whaley Sr. as her "well beloved Cousin Joseph Whaley Sen." She also named and bequeathed to each one of Sr.'s children, mentioned Joseph Waley Jr., but did not bequeath to him specifically as she did the others. Could speculate he was no longer in MD but in Iredell/Rowan????
