MOCKSVILLE - Mr. Douglas Ray Jones, 52, of Bear Creek Church Road, died Friday, March 10, 2006, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

He was born May 2, 1953, in Rowan County to Bobby and Pansy Mabe Jones.

Mr. Jones was employed by Classic Moving and Storage (Boyles Furniture) in Hickory. He was a member of Bear Creek Baptist Church.

Mr. Jones is survived by his parents of Mocksville; his wife, Deborah Kissam Jones of the home; a daughter, Cheryl Katrina (Donald Paul) Roda of Winston-Salem; a sister, Dana (Randy) Foster of Mocksville; a sister-in-law, Lynn Kissam Johnson of Flatrock; two brothers-in-law, Roddy (Patricia) Kissam of Landrum, S.C., and William Thomas (Jane) Kissam of Alabama; two grandsons, Nicholas Tyler Roda and Donald Blake Roda; several nieces and nephews, Barbara Williams, Amy Hood, Mike Kissam, Mitch Kissam, Matt and Brianna Foster and Brian (Erin) Johnson and Todd Johnson; and great-nephews Wylie Johnson, Noah Johnson, David Johnson and Adam Johnson.

A funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. today, March 12, at Eaton Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Lee Cook and Dr. David Gilbreath officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home after the funeral service and at other times at the home of his parents, 3218 U.S. Hwy. 601 N., Mocksville. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Monday, March 13, in Bear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be considered for Cancer Services, 622 N. Main St., Mocksville, NC 27028; or Brenner Children's Hospital, Memorial Donations, c/o WFUBMC, Medical Center Blvd., Winston-Salem, NC 27157.
