This is absolutely amazing information! I can't wait to tell my grandpa!
Does it mention anywhere, about the Murph family, that the father was a Civil war veteran? My Grandpa says he remembers a Grandpa Murph coming around when he was little, telling war stories about how he got a metal plate in his head... My Grandpa was born 9/1918, so Grandpa Murph must have been alive up to 8 - 10 years later, for my Grandpa to be able to remember him and what he talked about...
